Chateau St Christopher

I had the pleasure yesterday of sampling the wine - used for the celebration of the Eucharist - in my old parish, St Christopher's in Norris Green, Liverpool. It's produced with grapes grown in the grounds of the church by local people. The Vicar, Philip Burman, is rightly proud of this home produced wine which connects the community work of the church with the liturgical thanksgiving. What an inspiring story - it is indeed "the work of human hands" as well as God's creativity which gives us these holy things.
